Pacific Fair Redevelopment Update

Pacific Fair, Gold Coast’s iconic shopping centre built in 1977, commenced its $670 million transformation into Australia’s premier shopping destination in January 2014, with the first minor stage of the redevelopment opening in November 2014.

This included the demolition of the south-west car park and surrounding stores, the relocation of Target and the re-opening of the north-east mall and the new Riverwalk entrance.
The next openings, scheduled across two stages this year, will see around 70 specialty stores open as well as Woolworths, Events Cinemas, Big W, a Fresh Food marketplace, more than 1,000 new car spaces and the relocation of Coles.

When the development is completed in mid-2016, the centre will be 155,000m2 – and include two full-line department stores, two supermarkets, three discount department stores, luxury and high-street fashion, unrivalled dining and bar experiences, a premier indoor/outdoor leisure and entertainment precinct, more than 400 specialty stores and around 6,000 parking spaces.
