Halls Head Central Redevelopment

Halls Head Central

Federation Centres and ISPT’s Halls Head Central shopping centre, south of Perth, will undergo a $54 million redevelopment to create a vibrant shopping destination taking advantage of the region’s population growth and the trade area’s evolving customer base.

Federation Centres, Executive General Manager of Development & Asset Strategy Jonathan Timms said: “Halls Head Central will welcome one of Western Australia’s first Aldi stores, a brand new Coles and Kmart, a mini major and more than 55 specialty stores as part of the expanded and reconfigured centre. It will be a completely new Halls Head experience. We’re creating a contemporary, family-friendly shopping destination with a relaxed coastal vibe that will be the place to meet, day and night, thanks to a new casual dining precinct with a dedicated alfresco area and children’s playground.”

The project will also include a complete refurbishment and new design of the existing centre, adding modern amenities and boosting convenience with more than 1,000 car parking bays available.

“Halls Head is one of the fastest-growing regions in Australia and one of Western Australia’s top tourist destinations with the Peel Region welcoming 1.7 million day trippers and 1.4 million overnight visitors,” Jonathan said. “Expanding by an additional 12,500m2 to create approximately 18,400m2 of GLA, Halls Head Central will become a local and vibrant meeting place and our redevelopment will provide opportunities for local businesses and generate jobs for the local community.”

The redevelopment is scheduled to open in early 2016.
