Almost 200 people gathered in The District at Chatswood Interchange on October 29, to celebrate the transformation of the retail and dining precinct.
Guests of honour included centre ambassador, Poh Ling Yeow, Mayor Gail Giles-Gidney and Gladys Berejiklian MP, Member for Willoughby. They joined retailers and representatives from all who were involved in the development and transformation of Chatswood Interchange creating a dynamic, vibrant destination to live, shop and dine.
The Chatswood Interchange retail precinct has stood empty since 2008 and has been transformed by The Galileo Group who have developed a shopping and food destination consisting of 10,225m2 of retail with a contemporary dining precinct.
Chatswood Interchange caters to an estimated 12.3 million rail passengers per year who pass through the Chatswood railway station turnstiles, while more than 3 million bus passengers move through the bus interchange annually.
The new restaurant precinct ‘The District’ is an architecturally designed pavilion-style dining space featuring renowned restaurants with exotic food and cuisine from around the world. SCN
